I will try and make this as understandable & easy to read as possible. I don’t see the sense in making laws to give more transparency for the average person, when the information is so complex & complicated to read, no one understands it!

So, this might not be the most perfect or accurate policy ever, but I hope it gives you a good understanding of how your data is used on this site.

This website (h​ttps://www.emerelle.at) is operated by Emerelle. Your personal information is only used to run and improve this site. By visiting and engaging with it, you agree to the collection and usage of your information in accordance with this policy.

You have, at any point, the right to know which data I have collected from you and either have it shown to you or deleted.

E M A I L

When you opt-in to the email form, you voluntarily provide the following information: Your Name & Email Address.
This information is used by me to send you emails with infos, updates and marketing (only concerning Emerelle.at).
It is solely used for this purpose and will never be given to any third party, except for those necessary which are stated here. By subscribing to the list, you agree with that.

Furthermore, I want to inform you of the email marketing service provider I use; Mailchimp. Your data will be transferred to their site in accordance to their Terms & Privacy Policy so I can send & manage the emails. By providing your information you acknowledge that. You can opt-out at & have your information deleted at any given moment with the footer link in each email or by contacting me.

Also, by opting in your IP address will be collected by Mailchimp so I can get an overview of where subscribers are from. You can read more on that in their Policy and in the next section: Cookies!

First, an explanation: Cookies are tiny text files that are saved in your Web browser when you visit a Web site. The file might contain your login information, your user preferences and other identifiers. These cookies make your Web browsing experience more personalized and customizable. They’re designed to save you time when you visit your favorite sites. 

By visiting this site, you agree to the use of cookies. Plugins and third-party services I use that collect cookies on this site include:

L O G  D A T A

Like most websites these days, this site too collects information that your browser sends whenever you visit: “Log Data”.

This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

I use third party services such as Google Analytics (see list above) that collect, monitor and analyze this information.  If you want to know more about how these systems work, see the Privacy Policies on the according homepages.

In addition to log data, information about the device you’re using is also collected (so the website is displayed properly on your phone, f.ex). The information can include type of device, operating system, settings, unique device identifiers and crash data, depending on what type of device you’re using and its settings. For example, different types of information are available depending on whether you’re using a Mac or a PC, or an iPhone or Android phone. C O M M E N T S

Another way your information is collected is by commenting. You will have to provide your name and email address! The comment itself, the time you posted and your IP address will also be collected. If you have a wordpress account yourself, the so called “gravatar” (your image icon) will be displayed. You’ll also have the option for this information to be saved, so the next time you comment, you don’t have to type it in again. Other than that, I do not collect or save this data for any other purpose. It will only be used to detect spam. And unless you – or I – delete your comment, this information will be stored permanently.

 P A Y M E N T S

I use PayPal and Stripe to process payments. They may collect data (see cookies & log data above), only used for the purpose of your purchase, according to their Policy. I also linked it to Mailchimp, my email provider, so that I can send you an email after your purchase. For that, your data (Name & Email) will be transferred to Mailchimp.

G O O G L E   A N A L Y T I C S

I use Google Analytics to understand my visitors and like that, improve the site. This service collects your data, but has recently updated their Policy and Services to confirm with all the new data laws. It even has a privacy-shield certification that guarantees the conformity with European data laws.

Generally, the personal Data will be deleted or anonymised after 14 months.

C H I L D R E N 

Services on this Site do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from the servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided me with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions.

Of course I do my best to keep your personal information secure and so do all the service providers I use! However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so I can’t guarantee its absolute security.
