Our primary purpose in life
Hello, long time no read :)
With the lunar eclipse today and spring equinox around the corner, it's the perfect time right now to go within and withdraw from the world for a bit.
“We must become so alone, so utterly alone, that we withdraw into our innermost self. It is a way of bitter suffering. But when our solitude is overcome, we are no longer alone, for we find that our innermost self is the spirit, that it is God, the indivisible. And suddenly we find ourselves in the midst of the world, yet undisturbed by its multiplicity. For our innermost soul we know ourselves to be one with all being.”
~ HERMANN HESSE
I have been in a longer phase of solitude and going within. I always find these phases to be so nourishing.. and crucial in the world we live in.
By detaching from the outside world and retreating into the sanctuary within we can experience peace. And from there life can flow effortlessly and joyfully again.
"Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours."
~ HERMANN HESSE
Our primary purpose in life is to be conscious. To rest in that place of stillness within. And from there, do whatever it is we need to do in the world - our secondary purpose. A lot of people confuse their priorities, chasing after outside success and purpose.. wondering why it drains their soul.
It is hard to find this balance in life.. and for everyone it looks different. But I'd like to remind you to check your priorities, check in with your soul, and give yourself permission to just be. To meditate. To let go of expectations and perfectionism. When you're taking your last breath, when you're alone with God, it will be that connection to your soul that matters most.
"The highest form of love is to be the protector of another person's solitude."
- RAINER MARIA RILKE
It's so beautiful if we can also let the people in our lives have their space.. and protect ours.. while the love remains the same. If we can encourage and remind each other of honouring our inmost being - instead of pulling us deeper into the drama of the world and adding to the noise.

As always giving you an update on what happened since my last newsletter.
I have phases of creative flow & creation followed by long periods of retreat and rest. Which is why I sometimes put out lots of new music and videos - and then vanish into oblivion. If you're familiar with Human Design, yes I'm a typical "Manifestor" haha.

I still live in Ibiza, embracing the quieter winter months and lively summers. However I can feel the winds of change yet again and it looks like my time here is slowly coming to an end. A new land further east is calling..

I have released a new music album called In Dreams. It contains 6 songs from Lord of the Rings recorded mostly acapella and tuned to 432Hz. You can stream it on all platforms or download it in lossless audio quality here.

Renowned composer Tim Janis invited me to record vocals for his new song Ancient River. It was such a pleasure to work together with him & his wife Elizabeth! They also made this beautiful music video up in the Rocky mountains.
The cover photo comes from a collaboration with Lizzy Gadd, a little dream come true :)

I am still planning on releasing my new original song "Luthien" this year. And also on finally starting my TikTok channel and creating lots of new content. I want to record more ambient meditation kind of music with spoken quotes and poems to inspire sitting with the stillness within.

Sending you a warm embrace today. I hope you are well and are gentle with yourself. Remember to take time away from the world and rest in stillness.. the most important.
Much love,
